Nancy Paulsen Books is an imprint of the Penguin Young Readers Group. Nancy Paulsen has worked for Penguin for her entire career in publishing. She started out as an assistant at Viking Children's Books. She was Publisher at Puffin Books and at Putnam (where she edited three Newbery Honor winners) and in Fall 2011 her eponymous imprint, Nancy Paulsen Books, launched its first hardcover list. The imprint publishes fifteen books a year and focuses on "eye-opening, often funny picture books and fiction from diverse and distinct voices, especially stories that are inventive and emotionally satisfying." Of the 25 Nancy Paulsen books we had at the meeting, 19 were done by author-illustrators and we are very happy to announce that our own Molly Ruttan will soon be among them. Be on the lookout for The Stray in the summer of 2019. Congratulations, Molly!!
